Ever wondered what an accountant wears to the office? No? OK, so it’s probably not the most pertinent question when you’re on the phone with a query about your business finances. Your friendly neighbourhood accountants are taking to a football field here in Portsmouth as part of a new 7 a side league. We’ll be keeping you up to date here on our blog with regular match reports as our team of refined ‘athletes’ (cough) compete against other local teams in League Edstreme, and the CRY Cup, a charity competition in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young.
Aside from the successful world record attempt by Felix Baumgartner that some of you may have seen in the news recently, this wasn’t the core focus for one intrepid Boox Accountant last weekend as he faced a 13,000ft accelerated freefall in aid of Childline NSPCC. Despite a few nerves, our Boox Accountant Luke Theakston managed to raise over £470 for Childline NSPCC. Both Luke and all the team at Boox would like to give a big thank you for all of the support and generous donations made, especially to Kingsbridge Professional Solutions, Atomic PR and the team at Liquid Friday.
On Saturday 13th October, Boox’s bravest client accountant, Luke Theakston, has proudly volunteered to part-take in an accelerated freefall from 13,000 ft. The skydive will be in aid of Boox’s chosen charity, Childline NSPCC, and will be held at the Army Parachute Association near Salisbury in Wiltshire. Childline has now been in children’s lives for 25 years, providing help, support and hope to millions. Donations to the charity help children who desperately need support and protection from many forms of abuse. To find out more about Childline, please click here.
