Farewell 2012, Hello 2013!

2012 has been an exciting year for Boox, full of opportunities, change and growth. As we rapidly approach the end of the year, it seems appropriate for us to reflect on this and also consider some of the exciting developments coming in 2013.

2012: Boox’s year in review

Earlier this year, Boox was literally taken to new heights, when one of our accountants sky-dived from 13,000ft to raise £470 for NSPCC Childline and we would like to thank those of you who contributed for your support.  This wasn’t our only highlight though.

The vast majority of our clients are now using our online portal to record their invoices and expenses – this was a key milestone for Boox during 2012.

We’ve also unveiled our new website packed full of accountancy goodness and functionality which alongside our growing team and continual software development, serves to provide an unrivalled customer experience.

The long anticipated Boox report has also been made available and received coverage in the national news. Amongst our key findings was the importance of freelancers and contractors to the nation’s wellbeing, contributing more than £202 billion to the UK economy.  Such findings make us proud to support our customers on their journey and in our own way, contribute to their success.

We also took our brand into an exhibition for the first time in November 2012 – at the Business Start-Up Show.  It was a great experience to promote the combined benefits of our online service combined with a dedicated accountant to the thousands of visitors to the show.

2013: The Boox journey continues…

Obviously we’re keen to see our business grow again throughout 2013 and we are approaching the New Year with eager anticipation.  2013 will see the arrival of further enhancements to our contractor accounting service, while there are other new services on the horizon.  Unfortunately we can’t reveal too much (we wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise!), but we suggest you keep your eyes peeled as you will see new features being released early in the New Year (and maybe before!), making running a limited company even easier.

Despite all of the above, one thing has remained the same. Boox is still driven to make accounting easy and to offer every customer the exemplary level of service which only we can provide.
