Childline NSPCC benefits from Freefalling Accountant

Aside from the successful world record attempt by Felix Baumgartner that some of you may have seen in the news recently, this wasn’t the core focus for one intrepid Boox Accountant last weekend as he faced a 13,000ft accelerated freefall in aid of Childline NSPCC.

Despite a few nerves, our Boox Accountant Luke Theakston managed to raise over £470 for Childline NSPCC.  Both Luke and all the team at Boox would like to give a big thank you for all of the support and generous donations made, especially to Kingsbridge Professional Solutions, Atomic PR and the team at Liquid Friday.

The free-fall from 13,000ft did not phase our fearless Boox accountant, the charitable cause was in the full front of Luke’s mind which gave him the strength to see it through to the end.

The skydive experience was definitely one not to be forgotten. The training was extremely thorough and gave me the confidence to aboard the plane, however there’s always a few nerves when up in the air and it’s your turn next! It was exhilarating and I would recommend it to anymore looking to do something out of the ordinary for a worthy cause. Now it’s back to Tax Calculations, Self -Assessments and Customer Service!…

You can see how Luke got on and feel the force of the accelerated free-fall by viewing our video on YouTube.

We are now on the lookout for the next opportunity to fundraise for such an important cause. If you have a great fund raising idea that you would like to see Boox participate in for our nominated charity NSPCC simply tweet us @BooxLtd with #CharityIdea.
